Hello Nicey,Wifey and YMOS!
Once, I had fantasized that:
I wish I were a bird, If I were a bird, I could fly to India for free, and could meet the biggest selling biscuit in the world "Parle-G"! But I am a human being living in Japan, and have no plan visiting there.
However, recently a welcome incident happened to me, I eventually came across the Parle-G at my local ALL-100yen store (around 45p/UK) in Tokyo,Japan.
How lucky I am to have been able to get the world's largest selling biscuit made in India in Tokyo Japan! Great success!
However, soon I felt a little downhearted to see the yellow outer box. Because I found it having NO cute boy photo that the original one must have.
The box available in Japan seems to be changed for Japanese market. I believe that the cute boy photo is something essential for the great Parle-G biscuit. Hence, for me, the package without the idol boy is like a dead pop, my life without NCOTAASD.
There are three individually packs including 16 biscuits, totally 48 biscuits in the yellow Japanese-edition box.
By the way, the Parle-G reminded me of a Japanese biscuit named "BISUKO". "BISUKO" is a rectangular sandwich biscuit with vanilla cream, which has been baked by "Glico"since 1933. ( I guess that many people outside Japan has already known their "Pocky" biscuit sticks.) There are five individually portion packs including five pieces, totally 25 biscuits in the red box.
As you all can see, the red outer box has also an adorable boy photo like the Parle-G's one. The boy is called "BISUKO-BOUYA". "BOUYA"is one of the appellations for little boy in Japan, like "Dad for father","Mom for mother".
According to the manufacturer "Glico", their BISUKO has 100 million lactic bacterium
(scientific name;Bacillus Coagulans) per only their five biscuits. I heard that you Mr.Nicey had studied Molecular microbiology (right?) at university.
So, I do hope that you will tell me how much such 100 million lactic bacterium might serve to our intestines.
Thank you for reading.
