Winter fact finding mission

The entire NiceCupOfTeaAndASitDown team are off on a week long Winter fact finding mission, in search of new and exotic review biscuits. We will be visiting the Alpine regions of France to try and establish if the French have finally worked out how to make sensible biscuits. We'll also be studying the tea making process at over a mile above sea level, using our own supply of imported tea bags of course. Meanwhile The Wife is off to Ireland, County Down, in search of the fabled Kimberly Mikado biscuit. If you are visiting either of these locations keep an eye out for us, we are instantly recognisable in our de rigor NiceCupOfTeaAndASitDown tea-shirts.

Update: The Wife did indeed find the Mikados, and I found some interesting French items in this high altitude supermarket pictured alongside. Some of the French items will feature in a future review.

Two iconic giants of the biscuit world go head to head in our first chocolate covered biscuit review of 2003. The McVities Penguin representing the northern hemisphere vs Arnott's Tim Tam representing the southern hemisphere.

Happy new year

The lovely Pep of B3TA, CityCreator and our logo fame sent us this charming New Year card. Isn't it nice? Well we have been very quiet over the holidays, but the first biscuit review pack of 2003 is open and our Christmas selection tins have taken a bashing since the mince pies and Christmas cake ran out. Santa also dropped off a nice Biscuit recipe book, but so far we haven't managed to achieve anything more than a category A biscuit frenzy after looking at the pictures. However, if we do manage to bake anything we'll be sure to let you know.
